Fun and funky knit ~ Entretenido y entretejido

This is my latest big knitting project.

Este es my último proyecto grande tejido.

I had been eyeing entrelac for a long time, but had not found the right project to show it off.

Until I found this long repeats multicolored yarn (Milana Cortina), and had to make something special for me!

We created a name for this “thing” while I started designing it – a sort of neck warmer using the typical shape a poncho has, thus the name “cogoncho” mixing “cogote” (slang for neck) and “poncho”.

This is how it looks finished, two sides, either can be front or back…

Now to wait for the cold weather so I can wear it!

Thanks Lily! the whole process was a lot of fun – the designing so I did not have to sew any thing, the entrelac knitting waiting for the next colour change, choosing the fringe bits so they would match the side squares…
